Friday night lights

As some may know hubs is now doing Crossfit. For the few weeks it's been a open challenge, to see how each person ranks with in the Crossfit world.  As a first year, it was great to see how far he really pushed himself.  These are picture of the last Friday night lights, he so lovingly called it.

This guy in the photo with hubs is his coach. I must say he has some amazing coaches. Always encouraging. He can text them anytime he has a question, or if he needs recommendations for an off day workout. They are there. Dedicated, that's the best word to describe the relationship between them and the clients. I will have to say last year when we first tried out crossfit, we didn't have that at the time. This really makes a big difference.

There are several people going at once, not just Carlos, yet everyone was cheering. Coaches, fellow competitors, family, and just fellow Crossfitters.

This workout was: Workout 12 . 5
Complete as many reps as possible in 7 minutes following the rep scheme below:
100 pound Thruster, 3 reps
3 Chest to bar Pull-ups
Reps went up tby 3's each round until time was called.

Afterwards the kids loved to check on him. After screaming or video taping him on their leap pad, they were so excited by what their dad just did.

At home, our part-time school room is also a at home Crossfit box. Every time he's in there she is right by his side. Even during school she asks in i will "workout" or "Crossfit". I always reply "no"  She loves to rub chalk on her hands and workout along side him.

Maybe during summer, after we have paid tuition and saved for his training, i may join a box but not before. i have plans for that money.

Why does he do Crossfit?
So he can be a better pinata man, which oddly enough usually is his job at a birthday party....
