one week down

Look at his eyes, he was trying to persuade us to take the cat home

over one week ago school started.
now i am washing uniforms once again,
Sock have found their way back on our sons feet
a backpack is hanging in the entry way
GI Joe is holding my boy's lunch
And off my curly headed boy goes....

This year, honestly, is the 1st year we have uncertainty in the placement of our child in public school. Now with out getting into the ins and outs of it, to put it simply we are still praying and evaluating. We still need to set up conferences and figure things out. Make sure we truely have all the facts before we decide. I know you have questions, so do i, once we get something figured out i may share. May, as in if you care, cus honestly i'm not too sure who all reads this. i saw someone on the live feed from Washington.... really? Who you be reading this small timers blog?

Please don't think it's not cus he isn't learning. He is. The other day he came home and said mom, we played this new game today. It's called baby amoeba's. i interrupted.."Easton whats an amoeba?" Seeing if he knew. He did, he started running down list of facts about an amoeba. then he proceeded with the game rules. Later he was saying he hadn't done any science yet. He seemed so disappointed. I asked him what an amoeba was again. He Said "mom it's a virus." I asked him if that was math, he looked at me crazy. I explained that he had learned science, he just didn't know it. Now that's good teaching.

With our boy in school we weren't so sure of how our little lady would do. Let me just say She's fine. Actually maybe him being here was holding her attention too much. She learned a few new things in the few days he was gone. but i will cover that in the 14 month update appropriately titled Hurricane Fionna.

Please don't assume i 'm complaining about how literally she is all over the place. I am just a simple momma enjoying my rambunctious dau
ghter. We have come to realize that while our son is our mentally challenging (as in toward us) one, {asking questions about how a car operates and if it has adapters, charges, and fuses while his momma drives, who prepares for that...not me. I mean sure i should've know when at 3 he could take apart a shake flashlight and put it back together, or when he built Zip line for GI Joe and they really worked from upstairs to down stairs.} Our daughter however is our physically challenging one, we had warnings from my doctor when she was still in utero, of how active she would more likely be.. we thought the Dr. was just being funny.... All that to say, i do truly treasure my children and know they're sweet sweet blessings. I do enjoy this season of bouncy balls and baby dolls, wiping hineys and noses, stick hands and muddy shoes.
